PURPOSE & SCOPE FOR MONITORING AND TESTING OF AVIONICS SYSTEMS

Monitoring of avionics system is a vital function for the flight line maintenance of the Automatic Flight System (AFS). Flight line maintenance is based on the use of a Fault Isolation and Detection System (FIDS) that monitors avionics system. This is commonly an integrated system; this is also called Performance and Failure Analysis Monitoring System (PAFAM) in an aircraft.
